Owned and managed by Phillip and Suzette Van Den Berg, our guesthouse embodies years of experience and dedication to exceptional service. The Van Den Bergs ventured into the guesthouse industry in 2016, initially establishing a lodge and restaurant on their idyllic farm in the Northern Cape. This background has allowed them to refine their craft and create a memorable guest experience.

With Phillip’s retirement from an accomplished corporate career, the couple’s dream of owning a property on the Garden Route became reality with the purchase of BergWood Inn (formerly Clouds End). The inn has been lovingly transformed through meticulous attention and personal touches, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere that balances elegance with comfort.

When not attending to their guests, Suzette indulges in her love for endurance horse riding, while Phillip unwinds with a leisurely game of golf.
